Chill vibes everywhere were briefly threatened this weekend when lofi hip hop radio – beats to relax/study to, YouTube's famous, endless stream of moody grooves, disappeared. The stream had run non-stop for 549 straight days before mysteriously vanishing from YouTube.

The person behind the stream, Twitter user @ChilledCow, tweeted that he had received an email from YouTube support saying his account was in violation of the site's Terms of Service, and that he was banned from making any more accounts.

This prompted an outpouring of support for ChilledCow's famous stream, as well as some jokes that the perpetually studying girl who serves as the channel's visual was finally ready for her test.

Later that day, YouTube responded to ChilledCow on Twitter, saying the termination of the account was a "mistake on our side," and reinstated it. ChilledCow posted the email saying the account was reinstated, thanking fans of the lofi stream.

The situation inadvertently made ChilledCow's original lofi hip hop stream the longest video on YouTube at 13,000 hours long.

That wasn't an accident, Adolf Wojcicki was trying to get rid of good content yet again.

Knowing that CrueltyFreeSmut drew porn of Study Girl made to look like an actual screengrab from the stream (obviously as a joke) not too long ago, someone at YouTube HQ likely caught wind of it, mistook it for legit, and thought ChilledCow was streaming hentai on the channel.

That's my best guess anyways.
