XXXTentacion Fans Convinced He Predicted World War III Back In 2014
Fans of the rapper XXXTENTACION, who died in 2018 when he was shot at a motorcycle dealership, are claiming that the influential rapper predicted World War III on Twitter all the way back in 2014.
The tweet in question, which reads, "world war 3 in my head," was posted by X on February 23rd, 2014 — nearly eight years to the day when Russia moved in on Ukraine, sparking lots of talk about the possibility of WW3.
In reality, the tweet is theorized to be a reference to XXXTentacion's struggles with depression, which is a recurring theme in his music. On the web, the rapper's fans are jokingly painting it as a prediction thanks to the eerily coincidental date and the sheer meme-ability of X, also known as Jah.
Twitter users were quick to point the tweet out to the platform at large, also dropping by the original post to leave a few jokes, reactions and pleas for him to predict their futures. XXXTentacion trended on Twitter that day alongside the increasing number of memes about WW3 as the topic coincidentally trended on the platform.
XXXTentacion isn't the only rapper being pulled into the Ukraine-Russia conflict for memes either. Right now, Twitter users are joking about sending rapper Chief Keef to deal with the Russians in a series of ironic photoshops and posts, which the rapper responded to today by posting his own meme.
