After months of being teased and hyped up, the Xbox Mini-Fridge finally became available for preorder earlier today, but exclusively at Target. While some may feel like having a single source should mean a large amount of stock and less confusion overall, reactions online throughout the day suggest that this was far from the case.

The morning of the drop, it was still unknown what time to expect it or where exactly to go to even find the product page, as searching for the product didn't produce results on the site and the banner image was intermittently disappearing.

As is common with these types of product drops, within half an hour of coming out, the Xbox fridge was already sold out, with scalpers taking the brunt of the blame, according to empty-handed buyers. Less than an hour after the product finally went live, which was around 9:30 a.m. EST, there were already people noticing eBay listings for the product at triple the MSRP.

Based on the similarly hard-to-get Xbox Series X console that Microsoft released last November, this product is yet another among the growing trend of high-demand items being sold-out almost immediately upon release.
