Walmart has apologized to Missouri Senator Josh Hawley for calling him a "sore loser" on Twitter after Hawley announced he was going to object when Congress meets to certify the Electoral College election results next week.

Hawley's challenge is almost certainly going nowhere, which Walmart (or rather, someone on Walmart's social media team), noted in their tweet.

"Go ahead. Get your 2 hour debate. #soreloser," it wrote.

Walmart quickly deleted the tweet and issued an apology to media outlets, saying, "The tweet was mistakenly posted by a member of our social media team who intended to publish this comment to their personal account. We have removed the post and have no intention of commenting on the subject of certifying the electoral college."

Hawley took it on the chin and gave it right back to Walmart.

While the tweet was clearly sent in error, Twitter users joked that Walmart had joined the Resistance.

No mention of the #BoycottWalmart hashtag from the other side?

Interesting how people are deluded enough into believing in a "resistance" that has the support of big tech, mainstream news, billionaire corporations, and establishment politicians from both sides.

Golly, one could almost draw parallels to how Mao enslaved China and killed double-digit millions by branding his dictatorship as the "people's revolution".

I mean the people talking about "the resistance" are mostly leftists who don't really like Biden but hate Trump more. Big tech, mainstream media and the establishment definitely aren't fans of leftists like Bernie.

By the way, I hate that you have to be le epic anti-establishment contrarian.nowadays. I do agree with plently of establishment politicians' positions. Is that such a crime?

They sure as hell supported BLM, and kept their mouths shut about all the arson, looting, and murder this summer. Whatever good intentions BLM began with, it became clear there was no direction or end goal behind it. Just rage. And whether companies and politicians approved, or were willfully-blind to the negative side, or capitulated out of cowardice, they did nothing to stop it as black neighborhoods burned.

so awkward watching this election… thing play out.

I mean the international observers have said there was no vote rigging but the dumb yanks are still trying to make a thing about it.

it's damn right embarrassing, not for democracy.. but.. for whatever americans think democracy is. I mean they're voting is so stupid none of the votes actually matter since technically the "electives" can make any decision they wish.. i mean if there was ever an example of an undemocratic stupid voting system; america would win first prize.

but again, it's over.. they lost…. fucking get over it.

Yes, I'll certainly prioritize your annoyance over video evidence that there are no safeguards to stop an operator from using a Dominion voting machine to fill out any ballot, even a blank ballot, any way they decide to. https://mobile.twitter.com/KanekoaTheGreat/status/1336888454538428418

The only states using Dominion voting machines are the ones where Trump won.

That's extremely not true. There was witness testimony about the dominion machines used in Michigan and Georgia that I specifically remember watching.
