British wine shop Wakey Wines has been banned from TikTok for extortionate pricing on Logan Paul and KSI's newly released Prime Energy drink, which helped put them on the map both on social media and the U.K. The account has since been reinstated

Since October, the shop has racked up millions of views with TikToks in which its owner Mohammad Al Nazir spoke with customers, some of which had traveled long distances to visit his specific store and try to get their hands on the notoriously scarce bottles of Prime.

According to reports, the beverage is supposed to retail for a mere £2 per bottle, however, some have been selling for a whopping £400 ($448 USD) each on reselling sites like eBay.

His outgoing demeanor made him somewhat of a local celebrity, but with that fame came an extreme demand for Prime from Wakey Wines, apparently to the point where Nazir felt comfortable price scalping or gouging the beverage at exorbitant rates. Recently, he sold a 12-pack of Prime at a ridiculous £1,200 (~$1486 USD), and TikTok apparently had enough.

Al Nazir has claimed that a "well-known influencer" has been trying to "tarnish" his business. He may be referring to KSI, who has consistently been aghast at the price gouging going on at Wakey Wines since he first learned about it.

"There’s a guy called ‘Wakey Wines’ and I don’t know if it’s a joke or not, but either way it’s terrible practice," KSI said. "You have people who are bulk buying and selling it for stupid prices and taking advantage of the hype and I hate it."

The Wakey Wines phenomenon has gone from a semi-wholesome small business success story to something more sinister due to the price gouging, as in addition to KSI, other major internet personalities (including Cr1TiKal) have recently condemned the shop for taking advantage of its customers.
