We Regret To Inform You This Hot Spanish Military Force Is Fascist
If the Hot Hurricane Cop taught us anything, it's that one should always be wary of openly thirsting over authority figures like the police or the military, lest they turn out to be anti-semitic, racist, or bigoted in some way that turns them into a milkshake duck.
Liberal author and activist Jill Filipovic learned this the hard way this week when she stumbled upon pictures of admittedly sexy-looking Spanish soldiers in tight uniforms with deep v-necks exposing their chest.
Unfortunately for Ms. Filipovic (and others who took to ogling the men), these soldiers are the Spanish Legion, aka The Bridegrooms of Death, a militia raised in 1920s Spain for its colonialist endeavors that later fought for Spanish fascist Francisco Franco in the Spanish Civil War. This fact was all-too-eagerly pointed out by Twitter users.
Folks, be careful about who you're getting horny on main about in these trying times, lest you lust after a nazi.

I don't get why people are dunking on her. Like, yes, Spain was once a fascist nation, so serving in the Spanish military means you are unavoidably working for a group that formerly served to enforce fascism, but Spain is a liberal democracy now, so they don't still have a fascist military. Most of these guys are young enough that they weren't even alive when the fascist regime was overthrown. Is every modern member of the US military supposed to be held responsible for massacres of Native Americans too?

depending if you ask sjw or anyone who believes in slavery time reparations when anyone involved in that died by the time franco's great grand parens were babies

Those guys look remarkably good for Spanish Civil War veterans

Disregarding the fascist past of the legion, the reason their dress uniforms look like they were designed by a horny cowboys from ram ranch is because the Spanish view of masculinity, believing a man should be proud and strong (read: fucking huge) and not afraid to show it. Thus they designed these uniforms to reflect that idea. At least, that is what I heard from conjecture on threads about weird military uniforms.

Is there a military unit that hasn't had a fascist commander at some point in its history?

I'm confused, is this a re-enactment or something? If not, I assume they're still around for a reason, and even then, it's not like they're same men from literally 100 years ago.

It's not a re-enactment, it's just a unit of the Spanish military that has been around since 1920: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_Legion
They're still around because even after Spain became a democracy, they still kept a military. It's really as simple as that.
