Twitch Streamer Suspended A Week For Having Sex While Livestreaming, Leading To Debate About Bans On The Platform

A little-known streamer by the username kimmikki has been banned from Twitch for a week after she apparently livestreamed herself having sex while continuing to reply to the chat. While the NSFW video shows no nudity clearly, her partner is visible in the reflection of the window and users in the chat seemed to understand what was happening.

A number of people in the gaming press and Twitch streaming community commented that after this, they’d officially “seen it all.” The streamer claimed it was a “drunken accident” and can be seen in the video drinking a type of pilsner beer.

Others criticized Twitch for only giving a slap on the wrist to the streamer when others have been banned for longer for arguably much less indecent activities. Streamer JiDion accused the platform of racism because of how light a punishment the temporary suspension was compared to his own ban.

Jidion was banned after organizing harassment against famous female Twitch streamer Pokimane, who later forgave him. He now blames the platform for the incident.

As the viral video and story continued to spread online, many expressed their wish that the streamer be banned for longer.

Some also used the situation as a trolling opportunity or easy fodder for memes.
