When Adam and Eve committed the sin of eating the forbidden fruit, God said unto her, "By the sweat of your brow, you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are, and dust you will return."

Similarly, when Chick-fil-A committed the recent perceived "sin" of hiring a VP of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (at least according to some), Turning Point USA contributor Morgonn McMichael said unto them, "Chick-fil-A, you are no longer the Lord's chicken. You are the woke chicken."

Earlier this week, conservative social media users learned that Chick-fil-A had a VP of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), and they had had one since November 2021. DEI is something of a bogeyman among many in the anti-woke brigade, as they believe it is a means of indoctrinating wokeness into American society. This is the sort of thing that made some conservatives fear Chick-fil-A will put the s---n of transgender people into their lemonade earlier this week.

While theatrical boycotts are seemingly par for the course for whatever company finds itself in the anti-woke crosshairs any given week, McMichael's damnation of Chick-fil-A struck many on social media as comically over-the-top, causing "The Lord's Chicken" to trend on Twitter this afternoon.

Though Chick-fil-A may no longer be the Lord's chicken in the eyes of McMichael, it appears that the company having a VP of DEI is arguably in line with the teachings of Christ, who said in John 4, "If anyone says, 'I love God,' yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother."

Can't wait to see Goya to follow this as well and i'm exited to see how conservatives will react to it.

Spreading the words of Christ and supporting gays are not mutually exclusive. It's crazy, I know…

i'd be more nuanced than that… The thing with woke is that sometime it's a good thing and sometime it's just big companies just virtue signaling while doing absolutely nothing significant.
