They Did Facial Reconstruction On 'The Skeleton Appears' Skull From 'Skyrim'
An international group of students has performed a digital facial reconstruction of the skull from The Elder Scrolls Skyrim, revealing what this fictional man from the late Merethic era might have looked like.
The skull, recently famous for giving us The Skeleton Appears bait-and-switch meme, was reconstructed by Ancestral Whispers project into a grumpy-looking man with a chin so square GigaChad would have been proud of it.
While the post was clearly an April Fools' joke (Ancestral Whispers usually reconstructs real skulls and the ones from not video games), the method used in the reconstruction was the same they use with real-world skeletons.
The post even caught the attention of Jonah Lobe, a Bethesda developer who designed skeletons in the game over a decade ago, who stated that he was very impressed with how the result matched his vision.
Just two months back, the very same skull became a frequent guest on our timelines as it was used in the viral "The Skeleton Appears" meme format.

I took a look at ancestralwhispers.org, the website that did this, and yikes. It's that sort of place where they use shit like "Mongoloid" as though its scientific, not sure if I'm ok with headlines calling them "scientists"
