The TeleTubbies share their vaccination cards on Twitter, chaos quickly unfolds on twitter
The Teletubbies were trending on Twitter yesterday after sharing their COVID-19 vaccination cards in preparation for Tubby Hot Summer. The tweet shows four pictures, one for each member of the Teletubbies, each with their complete vaccination card filled out and dated appropriately. While Tinky-Winky and La-La got two rounds of the Noo-nSon & Noo-nson vaccine, Dipsy and Po were given two rounds of AstraTubbica, according to the cards (shown below).
Unsurprisingly, there were people who started to look at the details of the vaccine cards and began applying them to the lore of the Teletubbies. Several tweet chains can be summed up with the tweet by @CookingWithSeb, who openly states what many have been arguing over for years.
Other Twitter users were quick to point out that there are some inconsistencies in the Teletubbies given ages, as their date of birth is listed as being several years after the show was first created, something noticed by @Mels_5sos_AC.
While others were perturbed at how the Teletubbies getting the vaccine meant that they are canonically now taking place on Earth, others extrapolated further by comparing the Noo-nson and Noo-nson vaccine with the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, of which you only get one dose administered.
The last bit of grief that was lobbed at the Teletubbies came from their vaccine cards showing that the second dose of their shots is scheduled for later on in the month, not at the time of posting. This would mean that they were only given one dose while posting about being ready for the Tubby Hot Summer (it is recommended to wait 14 days since the second dose before going out and engaging in activities safely).
