The 'Pokémon Scarlet And Violet' Starter Evolutions Have Supposedly Leaked, Confirming Many People's Worst Fears
WARNING: This article may contain spoilers for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Read at your own caution.
We're a mere eight days away from the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which means its prime time for the starter Pokémon evolutions to leak.
Leak they (supposedly) have, as images purporting to show the middle and final evolutions of Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly are spreading like wildfire on social media, thanks in part to fans who think they don't look very good at all.
The leaks came as part of an image dump that supposedly revealed some new Pokémon, including different forms of returning Pokémon like Bisharp and Tyranitar. Both evolved forms of Sprigatito were included in the leak, as well as the final form of Fuecoco and the sprite forms of Quaxly's line. Supposed gameplay leaks are purported to have filled in Fuecoco's line and given a clearer look at Quaxley's line.
Again, if you don't want to be spoiled, turn back now.

Many were not impressed with the leaks, as users by and large seemingly found them unattractive. In particular, the fact Sprigatito ends up bipedal (again, according to unconfirmed leaks) was a disappointment to some Pokémon fans who are still reeling from Litten turning into bipedal wrestling Pokémon Incineroar.
Pokemon needs to stop ruining all these adorable cat pokemon and making them bipedal like what the hell is this bro pic.twitter.com/IyMCTVJmtd

While many voiced their disappointment with the leaks should they indeed represent the evolution lines for the games' starting trio, some were more excited and thought the designs were fun. Skeledirge, the supposed final form of Fuecoco, particularly got love for its unique design.
i just googled them and thankfully i like skeleridge so im safe but jesus christ how did they make sprigatito's evolution. the worst possible thing. how and why.

Definitely skeleridge. I wish they didnt make it so robo but i like it

…?I guess it's your opinion but he'll, these look awesome to me.Fuecoco is adorable, and Skeleridge looks badass. Middle evolution is eh, but they pretty much always are 😅The fact that the FIRE STARTER (I never pick fire) appeals to me for once is impressive.

Pokémon is, of course, yet to confirm if the leaks are genuine, but it's not out of the realm of possibility they will before the game's November 18th release.
Hisuian Typhlosion, aka Stoned Typhlosion, leaked nine days before the release of Pokémon Legends Arceus and Pokémon released a trailer confirming the leaked evolution three days before the game came out.

Ya know, I don't understand the whole problem with a bi pedal starter…. let it walk on two legs. Meowth took ages to do so.
D-star
I think the issue is that the bipedal route makes it hard for people to still see the cat Pokemon as a cat.
I think the anti-bipedal argument became big thanks mainly to Incineroar, who is basically one colour palette swap away from being King from Tekken
Spaztastic Man
Judging from the leaks, most of this gen seems to be "Okay, now make the evo walk bipedally"

I'm laughing internally
lecorbak
I like their designs.
I just hope that Meowscarada has a decent double type, because Grass type fucking sucks. (unless they buffed grass type)

Grass/Dark

like zarude.
not a good sign.

Leaks have revealed the full evolution, if you are wanting to take a look. I'd just recommend trying to find it in action to get the best impression of it.
Bobbobbobbob
I like to know them ahead of time since they're the form I'll be seeing the most.
Phhase
Yeah I didn't want furries either, but given it's Pokemon, there had to be some, and these look fine, relatively speaking.
MCC1701
Eh, they look fine. While I don't fault people for wishing for something more in line with their personal tastes, they are far from the worst. I'd also say that animations are everything, so people's final opinions will probably be settled only when they actually see them in game.
zeoxdragon
Yeah I think they all look great (well… not a fan of the duck) and I don't think twitter represents the majority of fans.
Spaztastic Man
I don't think Twitter represents the majority of any group. Many have yet to realize this.
Ten Shadows
Welcome to nostalgia, new generation.
There always comes a time when new pokemon designs no longer work for you.
Timey16
I've been playing Pokemon since Gen 1 and I haven't reached that "phase" yet… how strange.
I think that is more the result of some people being AGGRESSIVELY "anti furry" and starting to throw fits at anything looking remotely anthropomorphic.
lecorbak
that's the case since gen 6 starters.
though gen 1 was already full of anthropomorphic characters.
