Last summer, it seemed the dream of the Pink Sauce, a curious condiment created and marketed by TikToker and influencer Chef Pii (@chef.pii) was dead after a series of questions regarding the consistency of her product and the faultiness of its packaging were given unsatisfactory answers.

This notably culminated in Chef Pii asking why the FDA would need to approve her product for mass consumption considering Pink Sauce is "not a drug" (she had evidently not realized the "F" in "FDA" stands for "food").

At the time, Chef Pii assured potential customers that, as a growing small business owner, she was still working out some of the legal technicalities needed to sell a food product, but many had written her off after the "F in FDA" incident and reports of her sauce spoiling during shipment. YouTubers such as Cr1tikal notably covered the controversy surrounding her as recently as October.

Lo and behold, Chef Pii appears to have proved her doubters wrong and will be selling the infamous Pink Sauce at Walmart soon.

Chef Pii reportedly partnered with sauce company Dave's Gourmet (of the famous hot sauce Dave's Insanity), which appears to have helped her navigate the difficulties of distributing the product and getting FDA approval. Pink Sauce will be sold exclusively at Walmart until July 2023. In the meantime, Chef Pii is working on vegan and vegetarian recipes for the Pink Sauce, which will sell for $9.99 — $10 cheaper than her original price.

It's a solid comeback story for Chef Pii, who seemed doomed in the eyes of some online after her product received so much negative attention last summer as a result of her inexperience in business, and many were pleased that the Pink Sauce turned into a success story.
