The Island Boys Bring Their Talents To The Stage, Immediately Get Booed
Franky and Alex Venegas, aka Flyysoulja and Kodiyakredd, better known as the rappers behind “The Island Boys,” were the scourge of TikTok in October and are moving their talents to the IRL space. So far, it's not going well.
The pair made their first major appearance in a Miami club over the weekend, where they were resoundingly booed while doing the freestyle that made them famous last month all over the internet.
Despite the crowd's unfavorable reception, the pair kept on singing before some heavy music began playing over their a cappella. The pair are serious about parlaying their TikTok fame into a music career and have even put out a video for "Island Boy," though commenters on YouTube haven't warmed to a "professional" version of the track either.
"You guys are so brave, don't ever give up. Whatever disease you have you guys will beat it," one user wrote.
"Those were the hardest 16 bars I never heard," another said.
Judging by the history of artists blowing up with so bad they're good songs, the "Island Boys" (which is not their official stage name) will have a hard time generating respect from music lovers, particularly if they're trying to promote "Island Boy" as a legitimate song.

It seems like these days the shittier the music, the more popular it gets.
