Steven Crowder Is Under Fire After Recreating George Floyd's Final Moments By Getting Himself Kneeled On
Conservative political commentator Steven Crowder has found himself in the center of a backlash after he recreated George Floyd's final moments in an episode of his YouTube show. The video, in which a man dressed as a police officer kneels on Crowder's neck for nine minutes, got labeled "tasteless" and "ghoulish" by social media users, as well as not entirely accurate.
On Wednesday, in an episode of his YouTube show, Crowder lied down on concrete ground as his producer and another man, both dressed as police officers knelt down on his shoulders and his legs and pinned him down for nine minutes.
Today I am going to test the theory and have my producer (and @GmorganJr) kneel on my neck for 9 minutes, live on concrete. No tricks, no cuts. We need to walk a mile in another’s shoes… 10AM ET. #LwC

Crowder's video comes in as the court trial over police officer Derek Chauvin, charged with second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter of George Floyd entered its nine day. In the video, Crowder, with his hands cuffed behind his back, comments as he is being pressed into the ground, unable to move.
"I don't expect this to be pleasant, but I think that people need to see what it's like with the closest controlled conditions we can recreate."
The video, which currently sits at over one million views on YouTube, immediately prompted angry reactions on social media, with users describing it as "tasteless" and "twisted," with some also accusing Crowder of racism.

Beyond being one of the most tasteless routines he's ever done Steven Crowder couldn't even tolerate a few minutes of his friend kneeling on his neck before he said it still counts if he moved it to his back. How is this still on YouTube? pic.twitter.com/HK36RryQaL

I understand the people saying the circumstances of this experiment aren't comparable to what happened to Floyd (pressure & positioning of the knee).I understand the people saying this is insensitive.I don't understand the people saying this is racist. https://t.co/2pcxEtpAMk

While Crowder's producer spent several minutes with his leg positioned over his neck, some users noted that he didn't apply as much pressure on Crowder as Chauvin did on Floyd.
wow totally the same! No dishonesty or anything at all! pic.twitter.com/EcRsraWFFG

Crowder’s “recreation” versus the way it was done on George Floyd. Steven you fucking pussy. https://t.co/q2S5IAxzuD pic.twitter.com/g7gHeDQx56

In March, YouTube indefinitely removed Crowder's main channel with 5.4 million subscribers from its Partner Program, meaning that the commentator no longer has the ability of monetizing it by running ads.

People might want to pause their outrage at the GALL that he had to do this. What about this is inherantly horrible? The fact that they are recreating the scenario that allegedly caused someones death? People do that all the time, criminal justice in particular.
So if it isnt the act itself, what is it? Shouldn't the only question being asked is if he did the demonstration/recreation correctly? Or is the source of so many peoples scorn that he DARED question the narrative set forth that vile racist cops murdered an innocent, lovely man? We're seeing day-in day-out from the defense of this case that narrative to be complete garbage.

You can't accurately recreate Floyd's death in a controlled environment because Floyd was in a state of panic during his arrest. With his chest pushed into the pavement, his lungs couldn't expand to allow him to breathe. The more he panicked, the more air he needed; and that only led to more panic. This is something a lot of people are missing.

Except that that's the whole point. The whole case of the prosecution hinges on the allegation that the officer's actions directly and knowingly caused his death, as opposed to being secondary compared an overwhelming drug overdose. If it's shown (as was the entire point in Crowder's video) that police using the exact same tactics on a person NOT suffering from a massive drug overdose would have caused no harm, then this case is done.
H-BOMB
yeah thats right there were a bunch of inaccuracies like Steven crowder doesnt have a heart condition that makes his heart larger than that of a normal humans which requires more oxygen than normal nor did he abuse both methamphetamemes and fentanyl equivalent to 4 times the lethal dosage prior to the incident.
I mean the way he did it, it looks like all he was trying to disprove was that George died from a knee on his neck and no one is stupid enough to claim that after all the evidence displayed in the derek chauvin trial

Such satisfaction, seeing the desperation of people in response to this video. Crowder demonstrated perfectly that the restraint did not kill George Floyd; the drug overdose did. And people don't want to believe that, because they hated a cop with passionate moral outrage, and justified the worst race riots of my lifetime in response. and if they're wrong, it means they'd have to feel DEEP SHAME. So it's easier to lie that Crowder didn't do it right, or insult him, or call him a racist, or in Vaush's case, simply tell his followers, "Believe what I say about the video, not what your lying eyes would show you."
The George Floyd case should be seared into all our minds for the rest of our lives, as a lesson in how good intentions can create a living nightmare. A lesson on why we CANNOT decide guilt or innocence from a single piece of evidence. A lesson on why we have courts instead of mob justice.

People who already believed Floyd was killed will call it fake. People who already believed Floyd overdosed will call it absolute proof.
Neither side will take no for an answer.
Nothing moves the needle.
Nobody can be convinced of anything they don't already believe.
This is why society is doomed.
