'South Park: Post-Covid' Special Teases Older Look At The Classic Characters
South Park has revealed a new special, set many years into the future as the COVID-19 pandemic is finally over and the town and everyone in it look much older.
With the first trailer dropping earlier today, fans appear to be very excited for the "Post Covid" special, as this is the first time seeing a major change done to the cast in quite some time, as well as a multitude of possibilities in relation to what easter eggs can be hidden throughout it.
Many people took inspiration from these older character models and began making their own fan art of their favorite characters, whether they were shown in the trailer or not. This has also led to meta jokes about the characters still being alive, and the conditions that they live in.

I wish animated shows that are supposed to be set in modern times actually had characters age over time. It would make them more believable and help keep backstories consistent.

Disappointing how it's on Paramount+ and not HBO Max like the other specials…

Sucks that this is exclusive to Paramount+ and not just on TV. Guess I'll just watch it on Kimcartoon or something.

Given how long South Park has been going, I'm actually surprised this is the first time they've depicted a scenario like this, excepting a joke at the end of an episode with fake future versions of the kids.
