Gunman Kills Son Of Judge Assigned To Epstein-related Case, Sparking More Conspiracies
The son of New Jersey federal judge Esther Salas was murdered yesterday, four days after Salas was assigned to a class-action lawsuit against Deutsche Bank alleging the bank "failed to properly monitor customers that the Bank itself deemed to be high risk, including, among others, the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein." Her husband was also shot and is in critical condition. Salas was unharmed in the attack
The suspect, Roy Den Hollander, was evidently a men's rights activist (according to The Daily Beast) who had presented a case to Salas in 2015, challenging the military's male-only draft. It is unclear what his motive was in the shooting or who was the intended target. Hollander was found dead by apparent suicide in upstate New York after the attack.
Though there is no evidence connecting Jeffrey Epstein to the attack at this time, for many who suspect foul play related to the death of Epstein, the timing of the attack seemed highly suspicious.
Officials including New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal, New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez, and U.S. Attorney General William Barr offered condolences and condemnations of the attack.
Salas is the first Latina judge to serve in New Jersey’s federal courts.
