Teen Sentenced to 25 Years in Mental Hospital in Slender Man Stabbing Case
One of the two Wisconsin teenage girls convicted of trying to kill their friend in the now-infamous Slender Man stabbing case has been sentenced to 25 years of custody in a mental hospital.
Anissa Weier, then 15-years-old, was tried for attempted murder as an adult, though she had been found not guilty by reason of mental illness in September 2016. Yesterday, she was sentenced by Waukesha County Circuit Judge Michael Bohren to serve 25 years in a mental institution retroactive to the date of her crime, meaning she will be released when she is 37 years old.
Weier and Morgan Geyser lured their friend into the woods in 2014 and there, Geyser stabbed their friend, Payton Leutner, 19 times while Weier cheered her on. When interrogated by the police, the two teenagers responded that it was an attempt to please the legendary creepypasta character Slender Man. The victim survived the stabbing.
“I do hold myself accountable for this and that I will do whatever I have to do to make sure I don’t get any sort of delusion or whatever again,” said Weier in her statement delivered before the court. “I want everybody involved to know I deeply regret everything that happened that day. I know that nothing I say is going to make this right and nothing I say is going to fix what I broke.”
Geyser, the other teen convicted in the case, has plead guilty to first-degree intentional homicide on the condition that she is not criminally responsible and should not go to prison. The prosecution in the case is looking to send her to a mental institution for 40 years.

Sometimes, a good scary story inspires another good scary story.
Other times, the scary story inspires reality.

speedy trial my ass
court cases today takes over a goddamn year to happen after a crime is committed
Discombobulation becomes him
I'll bet Slender Man could clear some of that backlog.

Sometimes worse than that.
I was on jury duty this past summer for a state trial involving police brutality that happened in 2014
