'Dilbert' Creator Scott Adams Has 'Harsh Truth' For Parents With Troubled Teens: Kill Your Son, Or Watch People Die
When last we checked on Dilbert comic artist Scott Adams, he was wondering aloud if mass shootings could be prevented if teens were allowed to murder their bullies following the Uvalde school shooting.
Following last weekend's Highland Park shooting, Adams has improbably one-upped that hot take with a new "harsh truth" for parents with troubled teens: "Watch people die or kill your son."
In his thread, Adams conflates teens committing mass shootings with teens using fentanyl, arguing they are two sides of the same coin. Adams' stepson Justin died of a fentanyl overdose in 2018 at the age of 18.
Adams goes on to preemptively thwart any counterarguments to his position that might suggest offering mental health and recovery services to troubled teens, saying faith in such institutions is "delusional," and further insinuates the only choices in this scenario are "kill your son" or "watch people die." At the end of his thread, he proposes putting troubled teens in a secluded area where they can only hurt each other.
Adams' grim view on troubled teens and his proposed solution for the problem flabbergasted many Twitter users who were not keen on Adams' proposals of filicide or a so-called "teen murder island."
Suffice to say, the government will likely not legalize killing one's children if they are suspected to be "troubled," so Adams may have to continue brainstorming if he wants to solve the epidemic of mass shootings in America.

This is the same logic as "if we kill all other races we stop racism".

Knowing that this guy lost his son only makes his apparent wish for children to die even more sad. Whatever demons this guy has in his brain, they seem very intent on tormenting him until he snaps.

Hope this is just shit satire.

Was he always like this or did MAGA rot his brain?

If not always, he's been like this for a long time. I remember his "erotic Christmas hypnosis" post from well before Trump was in the political spotlight. Kind of stunned that didn't get memed to hell and back.

Scott Adams was weird as hell even when he just had a blog and mailing list. I think he called it "Dogbert's New Ruling Class" and he went on extended rants about a number of things (I think back in the day it was determinism and vegetarianism).
Him getting a soapbox to stand on was pretty much guaranteed to be a disaster, and I'm fairly certain Twitter made it far worse.

Is it really that hard to admit modern technology and economics has lead to mass social alienation and that it effects young men the most severely? That it can be fixed if we address the root of the problem?
Nah, you'll just have to put him down. The system is fine as it is.

It's all the stranger hearing this come from someone who made their career off of bashing contemporary society.

Where the fuck did the Fentanyl argument shit come from?

Always Right
Funnily enough, Scott's post reminded me of "Kill your son or nuke Boston".

Dear God! Is there some sort of competition to see who can be the biggest asshole going on world wide?!?!?

I mean in the span of one day I have seen Scott Adams suggest killing his own son, a congresswoman suggest killing her grandkids, a weird sculpture bombed in Georgia because of a weird conspiracy, the collapse of a British prime ministers government, and moldy buns in Russia due to their warcrimes and McDonalds leaving their country.
The whole world is just on a trip today to out-asshole one another.

Is it too late for his father to kill him?
