RIP Kevin Clark, AKA Freddy The Drummer From 'School Of Rock'
Kevin Clark, best known for his role as Freddy "Spazzy McGee" Jones in the 2003 film School of Rock has passed away after being fatally struck by a car while bicycling in Chicago. He was 32.
The news led to an outpouring of tributes from his School of Rock co-stars. Jack Black and Miranda Cosgrove both posted tributes to the late actor on their social media pages.
School of Rock was Clark's lone acting credit. A drummer for life, Clark played in Chicago bands Dreadwolf, Funk it Let’s Jam, and Jess Bess and the Intentions. He also taught drums in Chicago's School of Rock location.
Online, tributes poured out for Clark's performance in the film, which inspired many at a young age to get into the drums.
In 2015, Clark reunited with the School of Rock cast to play "Long Way to the Top" at a reunion concert.
