Original Artist For 'Tails Gets Trolled' Leaves The Comic
Lazerbot, the enigmatic artist who launched one of the most bewildering and beloved webcomics of the millennium, Tails Gets Trolled, announced he is leaving the comic after ten years of on-and-off work. Lazerbot made the announcement on the Tails Gets Trolled Discord channel earlier this week, and it was reported by the Tails Gets Trolled Twitter account on Monday.
Lazerbot cited a falling out with his brother and co-creator Zaygar as his reason for leaving the comic. Zaygar stated he would finish the story, with help from the comic's art team, to fill Lazerbot's shoes.
As outlined by the Tails Gets Trolled Twitter account, Lazerbot was the original creator of Tails Gets Trolled and is the artist responsible for some of the comic's most iconic panels. He mostly created the comic's first 5 chapters before his brother officially joined as co-creator, and the pair have worked together on the comic up to Chapter 24.
Lazerbot and Zaygar's Tails Gets Trolled is one of the most remarkable pieces of fan fiction online; the first several chapters of the story read like a generic and poor Sonic the Hedgehog fan fiction written by a bullied artist using the comic to imagine an elaborate revenge scheme against his bullies, which initially gives it a memeable, My Immortal-esque quality. However, over the course of the comic, the jokes begin getting genuinely brilliant, the emotional stakes raise to a startling degree, the plot grows remarkably dense, all while seemingly every major animated character from pop culture weaves their way into the story. In the last decade, what seemed like a huge joke became one of the most addictive pieces of literature on the internet.
While Lazerbot's departure will almost certainly have an impact on Tails Gets Trolled, fans can rest assured knowing that, at least according to Zaygar's promise, the comic will see a proper ending.

For anyone new to this comic just think of it like this:
What if there were no copyright restrictions on creativity, that was combined with good plot twists and pacing, with morals more ambiguous than the average Game of Thrones character?
Now take that and mix in 'ironically?' terrible writing and exceptional writing, and an art style reminiscent of Sonichu.
That's Tails Gets Trolled.
You won't need much pressure to want to keep reading each chapter; absolute page turner: http://www.tailsgetstrolled.org/
