New Gameplay Trailer For 'Pokemon Scarlet And Violet' Excites Fans With Sandwiches And Girafarig Evolution
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet struck a chord with Pokemon fans yet again following the release of a new gameplay trailer early this morning.
Within the trailer was a slew of new features that were coming to the game, such as being able to take selfies with your Pokemon, a quick-battle mode that allows your Pokemon to quickly fight in the wild, as well as bathing and making picnic sandwiches.
Judging by the memes and reactions so far today, these features were widely accepted by much of the community, seemingly happy that the game is taking a more lifestyle-branded focus for the scenic and relaxing generation in Paldea.

The centerpiece of the gameplay trailer, however, came in the form of a new evolution for everyone's beloved generation 2 giraffe Pokemon, Girafarig.
This evolution, called Farigiraf, has the two heads combining together into one, making the back head now resemble something of a hoodie that will shut itself during some move animations, possibly as the Pokemon concentrates on its psychic powers.
This was seen as a good thing by many, with much love (and fan art) coming to a Pokemon that hasn't had any decent interaction from the main company in over two decades.

It looks worlds better than Sword and Shield… those were more like 3DS games forced onto a Switch somehow.
However there are still technical problems like the low animation framerate for objects in the distance… and some objects up close what the fuck is up with that?
I feel like that and better texture resolution on certain objects are all that's needed overall.
But gameplay wise it actually seems like a decent step forward, especially with placing a lot of features that happened in a menu or kind of "pocket universe" into the game world. I do wonder if there is also gonna be a photography related sidequest line… or since the Pokedex now has photo covers if you can use your own photos for the Dex like in BotW.
