(X / @JoeBiden)

Soon after the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, a social media staffer on President Joe Biden's Twitter / X account posted a Dark Brandon tweet reading, "Just like we drew it up."

The tweet was riffing on the average NFL fan's favorite conspiracy theory — that the NFL and Super Bowl are scripted. The theory alleges that the whole league is predetermined to make the most money for the higher-ups in charge.

However, Biden's post-Super Bowl Dark Brandon tweet also flirts with a more recent conspiracy theory known as the "Taylor Swift Psyop." It involves famous singer-songwriter Taylor Swift and how her relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is secretly a government psyop designed to make Americans vote for President Biden in the upcoming 2024 election.

People have created many memes – both satirical and earnest – about Swift's purported influence on the Super Bowl's outcome. Of course, some are taking it a step further, involving the President who is supposedly seeking Swift's endorsement this year. This would all be null and void but Biden's most recent Dark Brandon tweet is giving fuel to the conspiracy fire.

In turn, Biden's Dark Brandon post has inspired numerous reactions on X since its upload late Sunday night. Viral quotes of the post are surfacing en masse, harping on the aforementioned tin foil hat theories that have circumvented the meme spheres of both sports and music alike.

In addition, the tweet's upload was added to discourse about Israel's airstrike on Rafah, which occurred within the same hour of the Super Bowl's kick-off on Sunday night.

On social media, the strike was nicknamed the "Super Bowl Massacre" and President Biden's Dark Brandon post didn't sit right with many people.

As the 2024 election approaches in which Biden will likely take on former President Donald Trump, many Americans are wondering how long he and his team will keep up the Dark Brandon schtick.

Perhaps more importantly, will the buzz created by the Dark Brandon memes get people to the polls? It's ultimately unclear.

It's certainly going to get people to Pokemon Go to the polls. Just not in the way they hope. The Obama campaign was lightning in a bottle, they have no shot of ever recreating that level of meme magic, but it's fun to see them try.

Gotta tap into the meme magic somehow, and a meme that makes you look infinitely more badass than you are in reality could be pretty effective.

Biden is a 50/50 shot of being either "old senile man who probably belongs in assisted living" or "the peak of Machiavellianism from a career politician who doesn't give a f*ck what you think about him anymore, let Dark Brandon reign eternal." Say what you will about the political ramifications of it, but it at least is certainly never boring.
