Earlier this week, content creator and streamer Charlie White, better known as MoistCr1Tikal online, announced on Twitter that he had started an Esports team called "Moist Esports," and that they already have their first player: a Smash Ultimate player named Kola.

White elaborated on the decision to start an Esports team and sign Kola in a video uploaded to YouTube today, where he said he originally found Kola through a series of tournaments he hosted in the past. Kola had been nominated to play in the "Smash Ultimate Summit 3" tournament recently but wasn't on track to gain enough votes. He messaged White to ask for support through a retweet or social share, but White went above and beyond, starting his own Esports team to support the player.

He goes on to urge his viewers to vote for Kola on the Smash Ultimate Summit 3 website.

Earlier today, White tweeted out an announcement that Kola had won a tournament (although not Smash Ultimate), saying that the win gives Team Moist a "100% win rate making it the #1 org by win-loss record." Footage of Kola's winning match was uploaded to the VGBootCamp YouTube channel today, showing Kola playing as Roy for a decisive victory.

At the time of writing, Moist Kola sits firmly in second place in the voting for the Smash Ultimate Summit 3 with over 36,000 votes.
