The Minnesota Vikings honored one of America's heroes on Sunday, a man who has dedicated his life and his body to hard work, serving others and spreading joy around the world. That man is Johnny Sins.

Last Tuesday, the Vikings posted a message on Twitter asking fans to share photos of loved ones who have served in the United States military for a chance to be featured on the U.S. Bank Stadium jumbotron. Twitter user @Kylerulz4h took the shot of a lifetime and posted a picture of adult film actor Johnny Sins, dressed in an old army uniform that is likely a costume from when he played a veteran in one of his adult films and came up with a false backstory about how Sins was his veteran cousin Joel.

The bit apparently worked, and on Sunday, Sins was honored alongside actual American veterans in front of a stadium of tens of thousands.

Everyone in the know thought the bit was hilarious, and the Vikings' gaffe spread around Twitter as the image went viral.

This isn't the first time Sins' wide acting range has been used to fool others. In 2021, noted Twitter prankster Ken Klippenstein got Dr. Naomi Wolf to post a fake, anti-vax quote attributed to Doctor "John Sims."

The Vikings have yet to comment on the gaffe, but it seems after their 40-3 loss to the Cowboys Sunday, they have more pressing members to attend to. For his part, Sins is literally hard at work on his OnlyFans, at least according to some NSFW posts on his Twitter feed.
