There's no denying that the NFL is better – or at least, more internet-friendly – when the focus is on butts. Ten years after the infamous Butt Fumble, a new competitor has tossed its hat in the ring for the most notorious butt-related play in NFL history: "The Butt Punt."

In the fourth quarter of Sunday's game between the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills, the Dolphins, up four points, were forced to punt from their own 2-yard line with less than two minutes on the clock. Punter Thomas Morstead's kick was blocked and went out of the back of the endzone, resulting in a safety that gave the Bills two more points and possession for a last-chance drive to win the game.

In the moment, the game's announcers were stunned the Bills had managed to successfully block Morstead at such a crucial moment of the game. Morstead had only been blocked once in his 14-year career. However, the replays showed that it was not the Bills who blocked Morstead, but the butt of Morstead's own teammate, Trent Sherfield.

This set up for a wild finish, as the Bills were able to get into range for a game-winning field goal yet were unable to stop the clock before time ran out, and Miami won 21-19. This led to The Bill's Offensive Coordinator Ken Dorsey to go, shall we say, "fully tilted," slamming his papers and tablet in his booth, becoming a small meme in its own right.

Still, the final score meant little to the internet, which was much more focused on the fact a guy kicked a ball directly into his teammate's butt at point-blank range.

While many on the internet got their yuks in at The Butt Punt, most agreed the winning reaction to the play came from Mr. Butt Fumbler himself, Mark Sanchez:
