It's been what some might describe as a "merciful" few months without Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene drumming up controversy with her antics, but at 11:20 EST last night, she shot herself up to the top of Twitter's trending topics by tweeting, "Yes they can control the weather. It’s ridiculous for anyone to lie and say it can’t be done."

While the group Greene is referring to as "they" is unspecified in her tweet, the fact that Greene previously went viral for pushing the Jewish Space Laser conspiracy theory and the fact that "Jews control the weather" is a long-running antisemitic conspiracy, many have assumed she is referring to Jews in her tweet.

Fanatical antisemitic conspiracies have become par for the course for Greene, and social media responded with jokes and memes at her expense.

Even Adam Pally, the actor who plays Wade Whipple in the Knuckles TV series, commented on Greene's post with a reference to his trending meme.

It seems social media has lost the capacity to be shocked by Marjorie Taylor Greene's bizarre antisemitism, though some have expressed concern that a member of the United States government apparently believes that Jews control the weather.

I’m not defending her, but I think she’s more likely referring to Directed Energy Weapons than Jewish Space Lasers
