Kanye West Posts 'Civil War' Meme Depicting His Crew Vs. Pete Davidson's, Showing The Internet A New Level Of 'Divorced Guy' Energy
Kanye West spent his Super Bowl weekend being extremely divorced, posting notes, memes and non-violent threats to his enemies on Instagram, culminating in a Captain America: Civil War poster parody showing himself and his crew of Drake, Julia Fox, Travis Scott and Future squaring off against Pete Davidson and his crew of Kim Kardashian, Kid Cudi, Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift.
The meme is confusing if you haven't been closely monitoring the minutia of who Kanye West is beefing with (and who could blame you?) but the gist is this: Kanye has been very upset that his ex-wife Kim is dating Pete Davidson. He's mad at Kid Cudi because he's friends with Pete Davidson, leading him to say Cudi won't appear on Donda 2. Cudi responded to this by saying he "didn't want to be on his album" and called Kanye a dinosaur.
Kanye West is upset at Billie Eilish because Eilish took a jab at his friend Travis Scott and the Astroworld Disaster at a recent concert (this also caused West to threaten to drop out of playing Coachella if Eilish remains on the bill). And finally, he's been beefing with Taylor Swift for over a decade at this point.
All of this read to the internet very much like West being aggressively petty and very divorced over some minor squabbles, and memes about the drama threatened to overtake the Super Bowl in trending topics.
To top things off, there are reports that West has split from his recent paramour Julia Fox because West was too obsessed with Kim. At least one tweeter seemed to sum up the internet's feelings on the whole drama:
