In 2003, one of the internet's most legendary bad ideas started to take shape: a collaborative video game called The Zybourne Clock. The game became a massive joke on the Something Awful forums at the time, and one of its characters, a card-playing badass known as Johnny Fiveacres, became an early internet meme.

Though thought to be forgotten to the sands of time, Johnny Fiveacres returned to internet fame last week when his creator, James Kunert-Graf, discovered the original Johnny Fiveacres sketch.

The discovery led many to offer to purchase the drawing, so Kunert-Graf set up an eBay auction, promising to donate some of the proceeds to Bernie Sanders.

The auction came to an end yesterday and ended up in the hands of YouTuber Freddie Wong, who called the piece "pure art" and promising, "As its steward, I will protect and treasure it forever."

Wong also added, "The 'idea' of the Zybourne Clock is an order of magnitude more impactful and powerful than the 'idea' of a banana taped to a wall. That art is bullshit."
