President Joe Biden found himself in hot water near the end of a scheduled media appearance and question round yesterday. As the event was wrapping up, Biden had a question shouted at him by Peter Doocy of Fox News about the rising inflation as it pertains to the midterm elections.

Biden proceeded to answer the question, and then, before the microphone had cut off, loudly proclaimed that Doocy was "a stupid son of a bitch" while still live on television. The event was captured and quickly uploaded to Twitter and other social media, where political pundits went wild with where they drew lines in the sand on this issue.

On the matter itself, it was reported that Biden did call Doocy personally to apologize and make the tension drop between them, which was later reciprocated when Doocy himself appeared on TV and was seemingly laughing the matter off, indicating that everything was fine and it wasn't a serious issue. This sentiment was reflected in jokes made on Twitter by others, who took advantage of the blunder and turned the situation into memes or other quips.

I'm more concerned about Biden calling inflation a "great asset" tbh

Not to defend Biden but it honestly seems like he was being sarcastic

Definitely the case. He might as well have just said "No shit, Sherlock".

Why are people comparing this to Trump?
As far as I recall, the worst thing Trump ever said to a journalist was to call them "Fake News".
Biden directly insulted a reporter and by extension, their mother.
I don't see the comparison.

There was that journalist who, depending on who you ask, he imitated the disability of, or just imitated "cringing". Regardless of what the intention was, it was pretty overt mockery.

If "fake news" is the worst thing you recall Trump calling a journalist, you don't recall very well.

>What do you say to people who are scared of covid?
"I say you're a terrible reporter, that's what I say."

"Look, you're a third-rate reporter. And what you just said is a disgrace, OK? You will never make it."

> Why isn't there enough covid testing?
"You should say, ‘Congratulations, great job,’ instead of being so horrid in the way you ask a question."

"I have zero respect for Megyn Kelly. I don’t think she is very good at what she does. She’s highly overrated."

"What a stupid question that is. What a stupid question. But I watch you a lot. You ask a lot of stupid questions."

And that's from five minutes on Google.

Oh stop with this snowflake "Also insulted his mother". NOT ONCE in the history of the word "Son of a bitch" has anyone said "Oh no, think of the mother!" But once Bad Biden says "Son of a bitch" to a member of Fox News, suddenly it's "Oh no, not only did Biden insult him, he insulted his mother! He hates women!!!!" fuck off with that nonsense.

Oof, this article sure brought out plenty of KYM user's alt accounts to kiss Ol' Donny Boy's buttocks.

Well, it's not as good as "dog-faced-pony-soldier" but verbally abusing a j*urnalist is still pretty based.

The thing I hate most about this is how Trump keeps getting brought up. Not because he didn't deserve criticism, but because that's the new standard .

"Ok but Trump did it too!" Yeah and I hated it when he did it. Biden is better than a shitty reality TV personality. Wow. Give this man a prize for not being his opposition.

Except he's not doing a very good job of not being Trump. He literally ran on being civil and bringing normalcy back to the US, but everything looks the same. Whenever he makes a gaffe or divisive comment people either praise or defend it the same way Trump supporters would do mental gymnastics or embrace his rhetoric.

Yes, he's better, and yes, I'm glad he appologized, but if we don't start to see actual improvements in our discource and democracy as a whole soon, the metaphorical bar will be set so low not even James Cameran will be able to help us.

It's a bit too late for that. You may think Biden is better, but he's clearly not up for the job. I know dementia when I see it. Biden should really step aside and let Kamala Harris take over. With the way things are going even Trump is leading him now in some polls.

If it were any other time period, it would be simpler. But you have to look at when Biden's presidency began, what events led up to his presidency, and the country's condition during Sars-CoV-2. Even after the pandemic dies, we aren't going back to normal any time soon.

There are two reasons: money in politics, and misinformation. Misinformation has been used as a weapon since 2015, and still being used today. Look how it has shaped public opinion. Thanks to one quack forged study heavily debunked because it was used to sell supplements and a famous former porn star, a significant number of people believe vaccines are detrimental to your health. Thanks to one quack forged study delisted because the people involved wanted to profit off the pandemic, a significant number of people believe anti-parasite medicine can treat a virus. Because of misinformation, and the higher ups who weaponize that misinformation to play chess with our lives, so many people are in a different world than others.

To know who is responsible, look at any prominent figures peddling the misinformation, and see the demographics of the poor saps who unwittingly fall for it.

Says the person falling for the China Virus. You're what the Chinese dictators call a "useful idiot."

Biden is clearly not up to the job and most Americans can see that now. This is not about Donald Trump or Republicans, or anything else. It's about elder abuse.

But remember, Trump making fun of a Reporter's disability was a-okay, in fact it was just a silly joke right? Well at least like Biden, Trump apologized to that reporter for his insult……………….Oh wait he didn't.

Well at least Donald Trump never called anyone a rude name……………..Oh wait….

3

Terry Jones

And I'm more than certain that orange boy was signing all of Fox News' bonus checks, under the table of course…..

Revolvenant

Expect trump wasn't making fun of his disability, seeing he was doing the exact same "act" regarding other journalists.

If you want to stick it to trump at least use factual information.

-4

bjoh249

Now if only that had happened. You just don't get it that your old Saint Biden is clearly losing it.

Why My PeePee Hard

Every twitter conservative getting up in arms about this when they can't even say "Fuck Joe Biden" without using a shitty joke

Freakenstein

While conveniently forgetting about all the remarks 45 have made in his short 4-year tenure, such as the time in his first year in office where he made fun of a disabled reporter. The P in GOP, after all, stands for Project.

It’s literally just them going like this:

Expect he didn't, I can't believe the disability claim is still being spread after all the footage of Trump making fun of journalists the same way.
