It's Not Just You Twitter Goes Down Globally In A Massive Outage
Down in the U.S., the U.K., Germany and everywhere else in the world, the social media website Twitter went down globally this morning for about an hour, leaving frustrated social media users nothing to do but think of jokes and memes to post once the website came back online.
According to the outage reporting website DownDetector, Twitter started experiencing problems at approximately 7:41 a.m. EST and went down at 7:54 a.m. Over 50,000 users globally reported experiencing problems with the website this morning.

In comments on DownDetector, users speculated if Elon Musk, who recently pulled out of his $44 billion deal to buy Twitter and is now getting sued by the company, might have something to do with the website going down.
The deal between Musk and Twitter officially fell through on July 8th as Musk's lawyers notified the company that "Mr. Musk is terminating the merger" over Twitter allegedly misinforming the entrepreneur of the presence of bots on the platform, with Musk proceeding to meme about the entire ordeal earlier this week.
