Pot Roast, a TikTok-famous cat with nearly a million followers, has passed away after struggling with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, aka FIV. Her owner announced the news in a heartbreaking TikTok late last night.

"My little bird flew away at 11:47 am this morning," she wrote. "When I saw Pot Roast this morning I could feel that she was done fighting and even though I wasn't done fighting for her I let her go. She went to sleep in my arms."

Pot Roast had become well-known and beloved on TikTok for surviving despite a series of medical issues, including feline herpes and stomatitis. She was old and had to have her teeth pulled due to her illnesses, but hundreds of thousands and sometimes millions of viewers tuned in to watch her adventures.

The news devastated social media users who had been cheering for the cat. Following the announcement of her passing, many expressed their sadness by posting tributes to Pot Roast on social media.

TikTok's official account offered their condolences to Pot Roast's owner, commenting, "Oh Pot Roast. A kitty deeply loved."
