IGN Posts, Takes Down Article Linking To Palestinian Aid Groups
Last weekend, gaming news outlet IGN posted an article linking to Palestinian aid groups amidst the heightened violence in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, and prominently displayed the Palestinian flag on the masthead next to the company's logo. This morning, the article and the flag were gone.
In its place was a statement tweeted by the IGN account tweeted at 2:27 A.M. Monday morning, saying the post was "not in line with our intent of trying to support for all people impacted by tragic events" and that it "mistakenly left the impression we politically aligned with one side."
Twitter onlookers, and particularly those in media, believed that IGN's apparent pro-Palestine sentiment was no mistake—they did put the Palestinian flag next to their logo, after all—and suspected that the decision to remove the article was made by corporate higher-ups rather than IGN's editorial staff.
IGN's original article sparked conflict between the gaming hub's international branches. IGN Israel, in particular, condemned their sister site's statement.
Game Informer experienced a similar story last weekend, as its article linking to Palestinian aid groups had been removed. As with IGN, people suspect that editorial staffers faced pressure from upper management to remove the post.
Understand how important this is: clearly
IGN</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/gameinformer?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">
gameinformer editorial posted this under their editorial freedom. If these posts are gone, it very likely means their corporate owners stepped across the editorial barrier & forced the censorship of those humanitarian resources. pic.twitter.com/u51BTQ8hQz— Rami Ismail (رامي) (@tha_rami) May 16, 2021

So what I'm hearing is that this aid eventually finds its way into the hands of hamas. How about we buy food and other things other than just giving money, I mean I have no idea how any of the charity shit works but there has to be a way to support people who got their houses blown the fuck out even though they had nothing to do with hamas. Gaza seems like hell on earth, a literal prison enclave, and then you have these dumbass hamas idiots who are killing their own people by lobbing rockets into Israel, its like motherfucker they can and will outdo you 5:1 on casualties so why are getting your own people killed with your stupid useless rocket attacks that do nothing but make you look like the bad guy? I don't understand that logic.
On the other side you have people who are getting their homes taken away due to "settlements", which I thought we were supposed to stop doing that kind of shit after WWII, I watched a video where the Israeli dude was like "look bro I'm doin you a favor if I don't take your house someone meaner that me will take it trust me" like WTF I see no excuse for taking people's homes other than a slow hostile takeover trying to destroy what is left of that area of Palestine. I don't see any moral excuse for doing that shit to people.

Han Solo short first that has been cleared. Question remains is Han Solo palestinian or israelian?

Until the West recognizes (and luckily, many of the European countries are starting to) that the MO of Hamas is that they are in the business of victimhood. The entire business model of Hamas is to provoke a retaliatory reaction from Israel because they know that no Israeli PM is going to allow Israeli citizens to be victims of terror. This is precisely why they are consistently putting military targets in with civilians – they want the casualties, because casualties make for great photos. These photos are then shared widely in the media sparking massive massive donations to NGOs that directly fund Hamas. For example the Islamic Relief Worldwide an NGO out of London, or the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation are effectively funneling money to Hamas. Interestingly the Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations network refused new terms added by the EU in 2019, which obligate Palestinian institutions to ensure that no beneficiaries of their projects or programs are affiliated with groups listed on the EU terrorist organizations list. I support the Palestinians quest in statehood. I support criticism of Israeli policy. But let's be honest about Hamas and it's goals. Is it no wonder that Hamas was for a long the 2nd most wealthy terrorist group on Earth?

It's not because one side is "bad" that it makes the other side "good". You can't claim you want peace and continue colonization, discrimination and deprived people of property rights. A fight needs 2 opponents. I'm just fed up with this filthy never ending story. I don't give a shit anymore and I'm just asking them to keep their sh*t out of "The West". Most Europeans recognize that (and luckily, many US citizens are starting too).

Keep their shit out of the West?
The West does more to perpetuate this fight than anything else. How about the West stops getting involved entirely?

Ok Hamas aside, what about the settlements? I cannot wrap my head around that. I've seen Israeli teenagers yelling and screaming at this old lady Palestinian woman after taking her house, I mean fuck Hamas right, they are no good, but how is me criticizing the settlements thing in anyway supportive of hamas? Every time I try to point that out I get called anti-semitic or pro hamas and uh no, I can point out that human beings on both sides of this are doing very shitty things to each other.
