Fans of Donald Trump's insult comedy might be sorely disappointed to learn that a recent statement from the former President about his successor Joe Biden's case of COVID-19 is a fabrication.

The statement began circulating on Twitter this afternoon after the news broke that Biden had contracted the illness. The text is largely Trumpian, as "Trump" wishes Biden a speedy recovery in-between insults towards his leadership and drops of his nickname for Biden, "Sleepy Joe."

The undoubted highlight of the phony statement is a digression where "Trump" says doctors described his own recovery from COVID-19 as "Herculean," though not in the "woke Disney" sense of "Herculean" but rather the Kevin Sorbo or Lou Ferrigno sense.

It appears that the culprit in this hoax is one Twitter user @ING2Firebrand, who first tweeted the statement shortly after Biden's COVID diagnosis was announced. In replies to doubters about the statement's validity, the tweeter gave little winks that it was indeed fake.

Though the statement was proven a hoax rather quickly by simply checking the website where Trump makes such statements, it spread among notable conservatives on Twitter, including Hercules himself, Kevin Sorbo.

The hoax goes to show how arguably easy it is to create a Trump parody that's nearly completely indistinguishable from reality. He's truly a Poe's Law President.

Yeah, that definitely sounds more like someone trying to imitate something Trump would say than Trump.

That's what; how Katakis thinks that's your fault for quoting fake Trump is anyone's guess.

Adam, between this and the penis card how many times are you going to keep falling for misinformation and then try to justify getting japed on the Front Page?

for the record, i didnt fall for this, it was brought to my attention as a hoax and is clearly reported here to be a hoax (and one that was shared by multiple people as real)
