Finally, There's An A.I. Fursona Generator
Furries (and Furry-curious folks) can finally pluck a fursona from a swath of royalty-free, A.I.-generated fursonas.
Following in the footsteps of popular sites like This Person Does Not Exist and Imgflip's A.I. Meme Generator comes This Fursona Does Not Exist, a website developed by programmer Arfa.
A fursona is the animal a Furry generally dresses or presents as (for example, the fursona of professional gamer SonicFox is a fox). In the online space, a fursona will generally be a Furry's avatar.
Upon visiting This Fursona Does Not Exist, viewers will be treated to an endless scroll of fursonas generated by artificial intelligence trained on 50,000 images from Furry board e621. The result is an astounding technological feat as the site continuously churns out fursona icons that look nearly indistinguishable from those drawn by humans.
Arfa was inspired by This Waifu Does Not Exist, a similar generator which created anime girls. According to The Daily Dot, the project took a mere three months to get to the point where the A.I. could generate passable fursonas (though its early outputs are pretty surreal).
