Drake Bell Found Safe And Sound After Leaving His Phone In His Car For A Few Hours

Controversial musician and actor Drake Bell, of Nickelodeon Drake and Josh fame, has been found safe and sound after a harrowing few hours where he left his phone in his car.

Yesterday, social media was briefly sent into a small fervor upon learning the Daytona Beach Police Department declared Bell missing and endangered. Before the announcement, he was last seen "Wednesday night near a Daytona Beach high school."

According to police audio files obtained by TMZ, police treated the case with urgency because Bell had supposedly threatened to kill himself after an argument with his wife prior to his disappearance.

The police department quickly tracked Bell down, and reported he was safe yesterday afternoon. Bell quipped on Twitter that he'd merely left his phone in his car for a few hours, and he was unresponsive to messages.

The fiasco led to mixed reactions on social media. While many were pleased to find out that Bell was okay, many commenters found it ridiculous that his "disappearance" became a national news story, while missing person cases about non-celebrities don't receive the same attention. Furthermore, a 2021 court case around allegations that Bell sent illicit content to a minor made some unsympathetic.
