On Thursday, former Drake and Josh actor and musician Drake Bell was arrested in Cleveland, Ohio, on alleged 4th-degree felony child endangerment charges.

The 34-year-old musician and actor, who recently rebranded himself as Drake Campana to try and appeal to Spanish listeners, was arrested on one charge of "attempted endangerment of a child" and one charge of "disseminating matter harmful to juveniles." Bell was arraigned at Cuyahoga County court where he pleaded not guilty, promised not to contact the victim in question and paid a $2,500 personal bond.

Details on the charges are still scarce, but according to Fox 8, who broke the story, the charges go back several years. Allegedly, Bell began an online relationship with the victim sometime before 2017, during which time he sent inappropriate messages to them. In 2017, the victim attended Bell's concert in Cleveland, where he "violated his duty of care and, in doing so, created a risk of harm to the victim," according to reports from the Prosecutor’s Office. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for June 27th to take place over Zoom, and Bell was asked to submit his DNA to the police.

This is not the first time Bell has landed in hot water legally speaking. In 2015, Bell was arrested for a DUI in California, resulting in a $20,000 bond and a four-day jail sentence. He was released in one day on good behavior. Bell also faced abuse allegations in 2020 after an ex-girlfriend posted a series of TikToks showing a string of abusive messages, although the allegations were never proven and Bell denied them.
