Early this morning, the video game company Crytek tweeted out two things. The first, a teaser trailer with the number "4" prominently displayed along with visual eye candy, and the second, a confirmation that Crysis 4 is already in development.

Due to the illustrious Crysis name and the positive reception of previous installments, gamers online were thrilled at seeing some positive gaming news amid all the NFT drama that has plagued the industry lately, particularly one as unexpected as a new Crysis installment.

Immediately following the teaser release and confirmation, social media was flooded with posts about graphics cards and computers being in danger. This is because of the original Crysis and all future entries pushing the boundaries of what computers can run, even leading to the infamous But Can It Run Crysis? meme. Among the hype reactions to the reveal, it seems But Can It Run Crysis? is due for a long-awaited meme resurgence.
