Balltze, The Shiba In Cheems Memes, Turns 10 Years Old!
Doge's trusty sidekick and meme legend Cheems, whose real name is Balltze, has turned 10 years old.
Balltze, who is a Shiba Inu dog from Hong Kong, has over 300,000 followers on Instagram. However, Balltze's fame goes far beyond that as he is much better known as Cheems, a shy, awkward and often mumbling member of the Dogelore gang.
Last Saturday, Hong Kong's most famous dog turned 10 years old. The celebration ceremony, complete with a delicious-looking cake, a hamburger and some custom cookies, was attended by Balltze's owner Kathy.
Balltze's road to fame began when in June 2019 a meme using his photograph and captioned "Cheemsburger" went viral on Reddit.

"Balltze, known online as titular doge meme "cheems" , turns 10 years old today.
Instead of "cheems turns 10 years old"
because that suggests the meme is 10 years old, and not the dog itself; which gave me anxiety that 10 years flew by when it was only 3
