Buzz Lightyear Has Been 'Castrated In The Name Of Marxism,' According To Conservative Critic Nick Adams

Pixar's new film Lightyear has been causing quite a stir for featuring roughly one second of women kissing. Multiple countries have banned the film for the smooch, and in America, where many conservatives have recently been causing an uproar in the name of shielding children from any depictions of or education about non-heterosexual lifestyles, the same-sex kiss is an apparent outrage for some.

While several conservatives have voiced their distaste at animated figures of the same gender kissing in a movie for children, none have been as hyperbolic as Nick Adams, a conservative Twitter mainstay known mostly for his right-wing hot takes on any major cultural event.

Yesterday, Adams expressed his moral indignation, saying that Pixar had "castrated Buzz Lightyear in the name of Marxism" regarding the same-sex kissing scene.

This proved an extreme choice of words from Adams, as it seemed clear to many that the gay peck had little to do with A) the removal of fictional character Buzz Lightyear's testicles and B) the philosophy of Karl Marx. If Adams' goal with his hyperbole was attention, he certainly received it, as many were dumbfounded at the intensity of his apparent outrage.

While many piled on Adams in the QRTs, perhaps the most relatable exchange came in his replies. There, a commenter typed, "Over a five second scene when two women kissed?! Spare me the fake outrage!" to which another wrote, "5 seconds now – how many later? At what point will you be outraged?"

Though no one can be sure how many seconds of women kissing one will have to watch to become outraged, you can be confident in assuming many out there will endeavor to find out.
