K-pop juggernauts BTS set Twitter ablaze with the announcement of their newest album, Map of the World: 7, which will release February 21st. For the uninitiated into the massive popularity of BTS, one need look no further than the online reaction to their announcement. Within hours of the announcement, the top five Twitter trends in worldwide were all related to BTS, including hashtags #7isComing, #BTSisComing, #BTSComeback, and #MAP_Of_THE_SOUL_7.

Hundreds of thousands of tweets have been shared in the hours since BTS posted their news, as fans of the group, who call themselves A.R.M.Y., have essentially lost their collective minds. The news prompted fans to dig through recent appearances by the group and look for any glimmer of the group spoiling the announcement. Many of the connections fans made were threadbare at best, but such is the nature of K-Pop fandom.

The album is the group's first proper full-length since last year's Map of the Soul: Persona and will be released on Big Hit Entertainment.
