Bored Apes Buyer Reports Their NFTs Were Somehow Stolen On Discord
In what may be yet another shocking story from the crypto world, a holder of multiple Bored Apes NFTs reported that they had their crypto art stolen from them by a crafty scammer.
Over the weekend, Twitter user @calvinbecerra reported that three of their Bored Apes NFTs were "hacked" on Discord by a scammer posing as a troubleshooter.
Major news! All three of these @BoredApeYC were hacked tonight over discord. Guys posing as buyers in discord were helping me trouble shoot a problem we thought was happening. They walked me through language settings in my MetaMask and had me chose an option and took everything. pic.twitter.com/mB3QA4PbTB

According to another user, the three priceless AI-generated ape masterpieces totaled nearly $1 million. "Discord is a scam," they wrote.
Literally $1M almost stolen, discord is a total scam

It's unclear exactly how @calvinbecerra got scammed, but they did post an interaction they supposedly had with another scammer to warn others.

Many were not sympathetic to @calvinbecerra's plight, nor were they impressed by the apparently simple scamming tactics done by these NFT bamboozlers.
I stole it back for you. pic.twitter.com/lcRCpSzsOU

Idk much about nft and crypto but this feels very much like the "load 500$ on a Target Gift card" kind of scam

Some Nigerian Prince stole all my money because of an email I got from them, email is a scam https://t.co/4FsPQkYaMM

There is some good news, however: According to @calvinbecerra, Bored Apes heard of his plight and deemed the stolen apes were worthless, which may have been obvious to non-crypto people but now they're worthless in the crypto world, until they presumably get back into @calvinbecerra's hands.
Thank you @BoredApeYC for reaching out! These apes are officially worthless if bought! Make sure you do not bid on or purchase these STOLEN APES. They are marked forever until they are back in my hands. No one will buy your stolen apes. Ape Look out for ape. #BAYC #NFTCommunity pic.twitter.com/497eByCx1M

NFT's and discord communities the new target for metamask hackers
A discord server run by recently launced gaming NFT marketplace Fractal was hacked, stealing 800 SOL from 373 members worth $150,000. This type of issues have happened a lot and most times it happens on discord. While most of the members have taken advantage of the skills of blockchain experts to help track their money and recover. Although there are many Experts out there, I met one with a proven track record and since then I've helped people track their missing crypto lost from metamask and other wallets. It's only $1 mil if you arbitrarily make them cost $1 mil. These thing's are worth less than paper

At least you can hold paper.
And if it's blank, you can use it to write something!

There's an idea. Mint an NFT. Price it for all the money that exists on Earth. Let someone steal it. Take them to court for infinite damages. Profit.
