After the long-rumored sequel to Halloween classic Hocus Pocus was confirmed earlier this year, the big question remained: would Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy reprise their role as the Sanderson sisters?
Midler appeared to confirm their participation on Good Day New York this morning, saying "They want to make a movie, they’ve asked us if we were interested and of course all of us said yes."

Speaking of filming for that event, Midler said, "It was so bizarre to have been these characters 27 years ago, and to put all that gear on… it was so bizarre because we fell into exactly the same relationship we had and the same style of behaving on screen that we had 27 years ago. As if we had been off for a weekend."
A sequel to the iconic 1993 Halloween comedy obviously wouldn't have been much without the trio returning to reprise their roles. The sequel is set to be directed by Adam Shankman. It's unclear if Omri Katz, Thora Birch, and Vinessa Shaw, who played the hero Max, his younger sister Danny, and his love interest Allison in the original film, have been asked to return in the sequel.
