After news broke last week that the grandmother of famous TikToker and comedian Ross Smith had fallen ill with cancer, support rained in from all corners of the internet.

Ross Smith’s “granny” (as she's well-known online) is perhaps even more famous than he is, working as his comedy and TikTok challenge partner and participating joyfully in a variety of hilarious videos.

As word of her hospital visit spread, fans and collaborators of the duo sent in messages of support for the elderly influencer, which Smith also collected in a YouTube video posted on September 8th.

It was a veritable who’s who of meme famous people, from older famous figures like Chuck Norris, David Dobrik and Mike Tyson, to newer faces like Ashley Nocera and Nina Daniele, the entire community that has worked with Ross and his grandma over the years came out in support.

Smith’s TikTok (which has almost 23 million followers) records the adventures of himself, Granny, and their extended crew. The 96-year-old participates in the Jackass style stunts that they pull along with various comedy skits and challenges.

Granny also isn’t afraid of the occasional raunchy joke and has even been spotted partying it up onstage with the band The Chainsmokers.

In Facebook posts, Ross Smith says Granny is going into surgery to remove some of her cancer. Her room at the hospital is full of flowers from well-wishers, and Ross has said she is pleased and grateful for the support of her fans.
