The United States Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe vs. Wade has undoubtedly sent massive shockwaves through America, as many women grieve the loss of their right to choose and viral debates rage online.

In response to the news, many media publications have highlighted stories of women who once chose to get an abortion for medical or personal reasons. Over the weekend, BuzzFeed ran an article and Twitter thread quoting some celebrities who made the difficult decision, including a quote from Fleetwood Mac founding member Stevie Nicks, who stated:

"If I had not had that abortion, I'm pretty sure there would have been no Fleetwood Mac. There's just no way that I could have had a child then, working as hard as we worked -- and there were a lot of drugs. I was doing a lot of drugs … I would have had to walk away. I knew that the music we were going to bring to the world was going to heal so many people's hearts, and I thought: You know what? That's really important. There isn't another band in the world that has two lead women singers [and] two lead women writers."

In response, apparent pro-life commenter @RebeccaAlan2 framed Nicks' quote as, "So we just had to sacrifice a baby’s life for Fleetwood Mac?"

This set off a bit of trolling and memeing from the pro-choice crowd, who sarcastically took @RebeccaAlan2's framing at face value and vowed that one baby was a small price to pay for Fleetwood Mac.

Fleetwood Mac has become widely understood as one of rock music's elite acts, particularly in recent years thanks in part to Doggface208's now-iconic video where he skateboards to the Fleetwood Mac song "Dreams."

For the moment, it seems that in the question of whether a fetus is more important than Fleetwood Mac, the answer is a resounding "no" in the Twitter court of public opinion.
