Bleach, which along with Naruto and One Piece was a titan of 2000s anime, will return in 2021.

The anime met an anti-climactic end in 2012 after steadily losing fans for seasons. It was canceled before the final story arc of the manga, "Thousand Year Blood-War," was adapted. Several things led to this, including the health concerns of series creator Tite Kubo and tensions with the Shonen Jump editorial staff. A video on the topic by Super Eyepatch Wolf posted in 2016 has gained over 3.4 million views.

The reboot will pick up where the anime left off, meaning Bleach will finally see a proper conclusion. While the series ultimately proved divisive as fans realized its flaws, the news of a rebooted anime from their childhood naturally had old fans thrilled.

Additionally, Kubo's one-off manga Burn The Witch will also be receiving an anime adaptation. It's unclear where these will stream in the U.S., but anime fans will surely find a way to watch the conclusion of Bleach when it drops in 2021.

The only problem is that the final arc of the manga also ended anticlimactically because Kubo's editors told him he had to wrap things up sooner than he planned and he was forced to pull a solution to the conflict out of his ass. So unless the anime is going to change the manga ending to line up with whatever he originally wanted, it will probably still end rather unsatisfactorily.

Yeah this is one of the few instances where it would be way better for an anime to branch out from the manga and go its own original way and even better if it's supervised by Tite Kubo.

Those few last chapters oh boyโ€ฆ

Jeez, just give Kubo a break.

The poor guy's been worked to the bone for years, let him rest.

Hope Kubo does a better job with Burn The Witch than Kishimoto did with Samurai 8.

Burn The Witch didn't get past the one shoot format since it came some years ago so I don't think it will be published as an ongoing series in manga format as there are no news about that.

Imo the Ova most likely will be a bonus for people who buy the dvd/blu ray for the last season of Bleach they just announced.

Burn The Witch is also getting a serialized manga.

That's nice to hear since they are taking so much time I guess they really are planning each step or arcs the series is going to go through and polishing stuff before they start serialitzation.
