About

Zuckerberg Note Pass is a multi-pane exploitable series based on the lecture hall scene from the 2010 drama film The Social Network in which the Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg (played by Jesse Eisenberg) opens up a note passed on by another girl in class. The vertical pane begins with the girl giving a look of disgust, the middle panel shows what her note says and ends with Zuckerberg's solemn reaction.

Origin

The Scene

The screenshot images come from the lecture hall scene in the film, wherein Mark Zuckerberg and another student exchange a note during class. In the scene, a girl passes a note to Zuckerberg sitting in the back of lecture hall.

PROFESSOR: Okay, let's look at a sample problem; Suppose we're given a computer with 16-bit virtual address and a page size of 256 bytes.

A GIRL scribbles something on a piece of paper. Then hands it to the student next to her and nods that it should be passed over to MARK. While that's happening--

PROFESSOR (CONT'D): The system uses one-level page tables, that start at address 0×0400. Maybe you want to have DMA on your 16-bit system, who knows? The first few pages are reserved for hardware flags, etc.

MARK opens the note. It reads "U dick". He looks over and sees a couple of GIRLS looking at him with contempt.

Origin of Meme

The image was first found in a canv.as thread, featuring 3-pane verticals in similar vein to the Machine Code meme. On March 31, 2011, "Make a Gorilla Face" instance was posted via Reddit thread, which quickly spread through popular blogs, forums and social bookmarking services.
