You're a Good Man. Thank You refers to a memorable quote from the episode "The Long Night" of the epic fantasy TV series Game of Thrones, said by the character Bran Stark. Online, a still image from the episode paired with the quote has been circulated as a macro, usually to convey feelings of gratitude.
Origin
On April 28th, 2019, episode three "The Long Night" of season eight of HBO-produced epic fantasy series Game of Thrones premiered.[1] In one scene of the episode, character Bran Stark, portrayed by Isaac Hempstead Wright, tells character Theon Greyjoy that he is a good man, and thanks him.
Spread
On April 30th, 2019, Redditor KnightRider117 posted a meme based on the scene to /r/memes subreddit, where it gained over 19,800 upvotes.[2]
In the following weeks, the meme format saw a moderate spread on Reddit, with notable examples appearing in /r/dankmemes,[3] /r/memes,[4] /r/freefolk [5] and other subreddits.
