Your Jordans Are Fake As Fuck is a catchphrase used in a series of image macros in which one character tells the other their Jordan sneakers are fake. The phrase originates from a void comic posted to Facebook in July 2020 and spread over the following years in further image macros and memes.

Origin

On July 18th, 2020, Facebook^[1] page Yeah I'm Stuck in the Void, Keep Scrolling posted an ironic meme where a shadow person holding on to a girl's shoulders says, "your Jordans are fake as fuck," gaining over 2,500 reactions and 2,400 shares in roughly two years (shown below).

Spread

The phrase spread across social media in further image macros over the following months. For example, on September 9th, 2020, Instagram^[2] user andrew_lastname posted a version of the meme using the Blobby N Friends comic, gaining over 17,000 likes in two years (shown below, left). On June 3rd, 2021, a Redditor posted a version of the meme using an edited JoJo's Bizarre Adventure panel to /r/ShitPostCrusaders^[3] gaining over 2,600 upvotes in nine months (shown below, right).

On October 1st, Instagram^[4] user new.incognito.tab posted a meme using the phrase with an image of Gustavo Fring from Breaking Bad, gaining over 32,000 likes in five months (shown below).

On December 11th, YouTuber^[5] Meme Zee posted a video using the phrase in a skit with SpongeBob SquarePants characters, gaining over 2.7 million views in three months (shown below).
