Young Thug and Lil Durk Troubleshooting refers to an image of hip-hop artists Young Thug and Lil Durk working in the studio together. Young Thug's stern expression led people to turn it into a reaction image and photoshop the faces in the picture into various scenarios.

Origin

The photo is from a studio session between Lil Durk and Young Thug, though it is unclear where the photo was first posted. Lil Durk posted about the studio session to his Instagram account on June 13th, 2018.^[1] One of the earliest known posts to use the image as a reaction image was posted by Twitter user @youngfishgod,^[2] gaining over 62,000 retweets and 192,000 likes (shown below).

In the following days, Twitter users joked about the image in various ways, most often comparing Young Thug to an angry parent, an intense computer game player, and a movie character. Some popular examples include a post by @b_ige1 which characterized Young Thug as a military general facing a threat from the 21 Savage Supervillain image, which gained over 46,000 retweets and 85,000 likes (shown below, left). Another popular example tweeted by @_MCKENTON_ characterized Young Thug as a mom trying to figure out a printer, gaining over 13,000 retweets and 31,000 likes (shown below, right).

Other popular tweets paired the image with computer games. Young Thug retweeted one tweeted by The Fader showing him playing Lilo and Stitch Sandwich Stacker, gaining over 9,400 retweets and 22,000 likes (shown below, left). Another by @2phonejuju showing him playing Stardoll gained over 20,000 retweets and 49,000 likes (shown below, right). On May 12th, 2020, in Reddit AMA,^[6] Lil Durk explained the photograph featured Young Thug mixing Durk's album. He wrote, "he was mixing my album, he engineered it." The post received more than 1,200 points in less that two days.
