The memes started on TikTok in 2023, using Joker symbolism and red pill symbolism, proclaiming that liberals wanted to keep the show's "secrets" away from the public.

Sometime before April 5th, 2023, TikToker^[1] @redpill_daily uploaded a video (since-deleted) that showed Heath Ledger's Joker doing a slow clap and the caption reading, "Millions MUST watch Young Sheldon in Portuguese / Billions, even," additionally proclaiming that Liberals wanted to keep it a secret. The video gained mass engagement before it was removed from the platform, including a duet from TikToker^[2] @averag3luke_ on April 5th that gained roughly 51,800 plays in three weeks (shown below).

On March 13th, 2023, TikToker^[3] @lem0nc0w uploaded a video that referenced a Young Sheldon character speaking Portuguese (despite actually speaking Japanese), gaining roughly 1.5 million plays and 139,600 likes in 15 days (shown below, left). On April 17th, TikToker^[4] @redpill_daily uploaded another ironic, sigma male meme about watching Young Sheldon in Portuguese, referencing the concept of Sheeple. The video gained roughly 1.5 million plays and 223,700 likes in 11 days (shown below, right).

Going into April 2023, more TikTokers^[5] hopped onto the trend, furthering the ironic concept that watching Young Sheldon in Portuguese was something forbidden that the liberals didn't want the public to know the truth about.
